Eduard Romanyuta to represent Moldova!

Hi guys!

So, O Melodie Pentru Europa has finished, and we now know that Eduard Romanyuta will be flying the Moldovan flag in Vienna, with the song ‘I Want Your Love’, defeating the fifteen other finalists on the night. The jury gave him 10 points and he received the full douze points from the televoting.

But, who is Eduard Romanyuta? Well, he’s actually a Ukrainian singer, and has tried to represent Ukraine in the past, but without success. Listening to the song for the first time, I feel that Moldova are going for a more Europop sort of song. There are elements of Greek music as well as the classic rhythms we’ve come to expect from Moldova. Although, I’d like to see a bit more in the staging department in Vienna! I think this is possible qualifier. They failed to qualify last year, as well as in 2008, and I think they won’t be making a third! They will be in the first semi-final, on 19th May.

So, what do you think of ‘I Want Your Love’?
