While the Melodifestivalen was going on, just across the border, Mørland & Debrah Scarlett had been selected to represent Norway in Vienna with the song ‘A Monster Like Me’. There were 11 acts in Melodi Grand Prix, and the winning song was selected in just one show! Also, in a blast from the past, we’re expecting Norway to perform with a live orchestra. Personally, I’m interested to see how this turns out!
I think the vocals are good, but the last thing Eurovision 2015 needs is another (part) ballad! Anyway, I think this song will probably be steering clear of the bottom of the leaderboard, and it’ll probably make it through the final! It would’ve been good if the tempo had increased a little earlier, but oh well….
“It is so good that I almost cannot believe it is competing in a Eurovision Song Contest.. My gosh even Nocturne comes close! AAArrrgghhh!!” Hans from The Netherlands
“The song is okay, and I do find Debra’s vocals to be very strong, but the song doesn’t go anywhere..plus, it’s another ballad to fuel the ballad-charged fire that continues to burn in the form of the second semi-final.” Rory from Ireland
