Today, we’re looking at Albania, and Elhaida Dani’s song, I’m Alive. In 2013, she won The Voice of Italy and then won Festivali i Këngës in December 2014, earning the right to represent Albania in Eurovision this year. Currently, she’s at 3/1 NOT to qualify for the Grand Final, so things are looking good for Albania. The last time they qualified was with Rona Nishliu’s Suus.

Here’s what the jury members think:

Lewis – This strikes a good mix between a ballad and an up-tempo song. It’ll definitely be remembered by the audience and favoured by the juries. It’s definitely a song that has commercial potential too, and it’s more mutually agreeable (flashback to 2012). 8/12

Reece – This is far better than Diell, but I still think it is quite overrated. Saying that, it’s strong from the Albanians, and a top-half finish is very possible. 6/12

Rory – When Elhaida was picked to represent Albania in Vienna with Diell, I was just very.. Meh about it.. But what a change had it turned out to be! Not to sound like a superfan, but Albania is kicking it!! 10/12

Lauren – Complete with twangy guitars, powerful vocals, and a catchy chorus, Albania’s entry this year is more or less guaranteed to get a good placement in the final! 7/12.

Total: 31/48
