Pre-Contest Vote 2014: Armenia

So guys, welcome to this new Contest that we’re rolling out – the ESC Views’ Pre-Contest Vote 2014! If you haven’t heard about it and how this entire system will work, feel free to click this fabulous link to take you to the ‘Launch Page’ of the competition. As we manage to compile more and more of these articles, they will be added to the Launch Page, so you can freely hop between all competing 37 entries! Right, shall we get started?

Isn't this just a fabulous little picture? I think so..so what do you think of Armenia?
Isn’t this just a fabulous little picture? I think so..so what do you think of Armenia?

So this is how we’re going to run this series of articles in which we’re going to cover all 37 entries for this year:

  • We’re going to take on these articles in the running order for 2014 (Armenia is first, Latvia is second etc). We’ll do two articles a day.
  • We’ll refer back to the Song Presentation or NF Review of the song. We’ll provide you with the video so you can have a listen (if you haven’t managed to listen to it yet…which is highly unlikely!)
  • We’ll also give you a few words from both of us while giving the song a score out of 12.
  • Finally, there’ll be a poll below for you guys to vote and give us your points on the song!

Got it? 🙂

Well, kicking this series off is Armenia. Armenia is going to be represented by Aram Mp3 with his song ‘Not Alone’. Aram was originally selected in December, but the song he’ll be singing wasn’t released until the 14th of March..only eleven days ago! So far, it’s been highly regarded by fans and according to the bookies, it’s the favourite to take the title in Copenhagen. If you haven’t heard ‘Not Alone’ yet, have a listen below!

Our opinions:

Rory – I know I’m bound to get a whole load of hate here, but I just don’t like ‘Not Alone’. Sure, he sings it very good and the dubstep breakdown is probably the best thing that could be done to spice things up, but I’m just wondering why so many fans love it so much, so maybe you can tell me in the comments? Score: 3 points out of 12.

James – I don’t mind “Not Alone”, but the dubstep bit is very messy. It feels like an orchestral ballad going through an identity crisis to be honest. Score: 5 points out of 12.

So now that you know what we think of the Armenian song, what do you think of it? Tell us by voting in the poll!

Did you vote? Well by the end of this series, we’ll know how many of you fans love/like/hate Armenia’s song! In the meantime, though, stay tuned to ESC Views, when James will tackle Latvia! So what do you think of Armenia’s song? Tell us by commenting below or voting in the poll!

Well if you want it to win, you’ll have to vote for him on the 6th of May!

  1. This is the only song that I keep listening, the other songs I heard only once and that’s it! This guy has a charm and personality I watched his interview and like him 😉 Greeting from Norway
